1 week down, 3 to go

Night View at Kobe Meriken Park

Week 1 was a steep learning curve for the trainees on LTTC Japan’s November CELTA course. Candidates were introduced to classroom management techniques, language analysis, different ways of presenting language, teaching skills lessons, and a range of other important topics.

While learning, the candidates also got the opportunity to put theory into practice with 2 opportunities to teach real students. This practical application is key to teacher development and also helps to give trainee teachers the confidence needed to stand up in front of a class.

While no lesson will ever be perfect, everyone has to start somewhere and the engagement with students in week 1 has been a pleasure to see. Great work guys!
