The Chaoyang English Project is a collaboration between Beijing International School and the Chaoyang District Education Committee and aims to improve students’ communication ability in English and develop local teachers’ English language skills, teaching methodology and pedagogy.

Due to demand, they need more ESL teachers to join the project during the 2014-2015 school year.

Teaching duties may include:

• Co-plan and prepare resources based on the local English textbooks
• Team teach English lessons with local partner
• Keep up to date planning and reflection notes
• Assist with special performances or festivals
• Participate in related research, provide feedback, conduct tests and surveys

Salary and Conditions

• Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience

• Medical insurance and work visa provided
• Work hours approximately 8am-4pm (Mon-Fri), timetable approximately 20 x 40 minute periods per week (including 3-6 co-planning periods for team teachers)

Teaching qualifications and Requirements

• Native English speaker
• University degree
• Recognised TESOL qualifications – CELTA or equivalent
• A passion for contributing and making a difference through education
• Attributes such as patience, team work and collaboration, strong communication and presentation skills and a positive attitude
